Coweta Man Pled Guilty to Wire Fraud

Jesse Kent Cox, age 34, of Coweta, Oklahoma, pled guilty to wire fraud, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1343, punishable by not more than 20 years of imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine or both.

The Indictment alleged that on or about January 1, 2016, and continuing until on or about March 28, 2016, the defendant devised and intended to devise a scheme to defraud persons to obtain money and property by means of materially false and fraudulent pretenses, representations and promises.

Charges arose from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.


The guilty plea was accepted and Jesse Kent Cox was ordered the completion of a presentence report. Sentencing will be scheduled following its completion.
